We may bemoan the age of ‘trolls’, ‘doxing’ and ‘gaslighting’ and blame it on the social media of today but this film reminds us that anonymous blame and the venting of rage has always gone on. This ‘detective’ film is based on the true story of a series of poison-pen letters which terrorised Littlehampton in 1920’s Sussex. It takes scandal and foul-mouthed swearing to a whole new level as writer Jonny Sweet has produced a hilarious script which has made swearwords a poetic delight.
