December 2025 is NATIVE AMERICAN HERITAGE MONTH promoted by Kinema, a film distribution platform.

‘The Indigenous Impact Alliance’ brings together award winning films made by Native Americans for free community led screenings. We have chosen to celebrate ‘Singing Back the Buffalo’ – by showing this film, which is sponsored by Carol, OPCC is supporting indigenous-led story telling that sparks dialogue and helps to drive change.

Singing Back The Buffalo tells the story of indigenous visionaries, scientists and communities rematriating buffalo to the heart of the plains they once defined, signalling a turning point for indigenous nations and their ecosystem, and re-enlivening traditional culture. It includes a section on the Blackfoot people whose mission is to establish the first wild buffalo herd on their ancestral territory since the species was near extinction a century ago.

This show is free but booking still necessary.
